Wrong Way <- USB -> Right Way
(Paul Watkins 06/01/09)

Barney Fife used to get himself in trouble with his one-bullet gun. (See this Barney Fife clip) After watching the show for a while you always knew what was going to happen if he had to use it. Inevitably he would reach for it and the gun would go off in the holster before he could get it out. He never seemed to remove it from the holster properly.

Usb devices like memory sticks, digital cameras, or music players can also be removed the right way or the wrong way. Fortunately when they're removed improperly they don't shoot out a bullet. Unfortunately, problems can occur and data can be lost if they're removed the wrong way. So this tip tells you the improper and proper way to remove a usb device from your Windows PC.

Wrong Way - When you're done using it, just pull it out of the usb port it's in. (I know that's what a lot of you do. How do I know? I hack into a spy satellite and watch you from way up above the earth. ... Ya sure!)

Right Way
1. Click once on the green usb icon on the lower right-hand corner of the taskbar.

2. Click once on the device you want to remove. (Your list will be different from mine.)

3.After a second or two, you'll see a message like this. Click the "X" or wait a few seconds.

4. Now remove the usb device from the usb port.

And that's the wrong way and right way to remove a usb device from you Windows computer.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. (Proverbs 14:12 - NIV)

(Jesus said) "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." (Matthew 7:13,14)

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
