How to use the sysprep utility on a Windows 7 computer
(Paul W. 02/23/14)

1. Make an image of the current Windows 7 PC if you desire to return it to it's current state after running sysprep.
2. Open a Command Prompt as administrator (go to Start > Accessories > shift key + right-click mouse > Run as Administrator)
3. Change to the C:\Windows\System32\sysprep directory. ( cd \windows\system32\sysprep )
4. Type the "sysprep" command and hit Enter.
5. Choose the "out of box ... " option.
6. Check the "Generalize" box. (Makes the sysprep image generic)
7. Choose either "shutdown" or "reboot" option.
8. Click OK and let the process do it's thing.
9. If you want to make an image of this to use on other PCs, be sure to boot up with a Clonezilla or other type of boot device and make your image.
