To uninstall an app in OS X, do this:
  • Open “Finder” on your Mac. Go to “Applications” in the Finder.
  • Locate the program that you want to uninstall. The program may be in a folder.
  • Select the program or the program folder. Drag and drop it into the “Trash.”
  • Empty the trash. This completes the uninstall.

    To use the Activity Manager (MAC equivalent of Wndows Task Manager) do this:
  • Press and hold down the "Command" and "Shift" buttons on your keyboard.
  • Press and release the "A" key. This keyboard shortcut launches your "Applications" folder.
  • Scroll down the list of Applications in the Applications folder window. Double-click the "Utilities" folder. A new window appears.
  • Locate the "Activity" monitor. Double-click the item to launch the program.
    The Windows Task Manager counterpart for Mac computers is the Activity Monitor utility. The Activity Monitor tool provides Mac users with useful information like network usage and CPU, memory and disk processes. According to Apple.com, the Activity Monitor also supplies you with graphs and searchable tables so you can keep an eye on your Mac's resources and manage processes efficiently.
